Data and Analytics (DNA)

What is it?

DNA is an application for collecting, analysing and presenting data across Ambrose Construct Group, regardless of the system the data was generated from. It uses PowerBI and other visualization software help make business data more accessible. On top of this, we can make mini embedded apps inside DNA that help facilities business processes. DNA is managed and operated by the ACG Business Intelligence Team.

Where should I start?

The best place to start is with the dashboard directory which you access to the right (desktop) or below (Tablet, Mobile). You can also access the dashboard directory from the side menu, accessed with the three lines in the top left of your screen. Once accessed, you can find more information about the dashboard directory by clicking on the guide near the page title. Extra tip - pin dashboards that you use regularly so you can access them quickly from the sidebar 👈.

Is this an App or a Website?

It's a bit of both, DNA is known as a Progressive Web App (PWA). You can access DNA from any device, and even install it like an app. You can find the installation guide on the guides page, under the DNA category. It's really easy, and installing it is the way we recommend you use DNA!

What about the other PowerBI site?

The existing site, https://powerbi.ambroseconstruct.com.au will be shutdown once all users have transferred over to DNA All reports will be transferred over to the DNA PowerBI page before shutdown.
